Also worth reading is Dr Rev Johnson's history of the Yoruba. They tried to supress this also - Dr Rev Johnson was a Nigerian Priest writting about his own Nation the Yoruba in the 19th Century.

I realize you know these people and names intimately but the lay person has little hope of pronouncing and spelling some of these names and Empires and these books are hard enough to find as it is.
