So, so easy when you find someone who knows what they're talking about. Thank you!

This method is so easy and works [Win 10 and Outlook 2010]. All other 'solutions' I found caused a lot of residual problems. THANKS!

Super helpful! I tried moving it without going through the Control Panel Mail and it screwed up a lot of things!

Thanks so much! This probably saved me 15 minutes of research in a 2 minute video!

for windows 10 users with outlook 2007, at 0:43 of the video, instead of "mail", type "outlook" and it will find it.

When you do Show Profiles, how does Outlook know about any profile since you already had moved the .PST file to a new location it does not know about yet? Are profiles stored somewhere other than the .PST file. Must be.

Good video but this caused a slight issue on my 2016 Outlook with multiple accounts and one profile. I followed the video and Outlook started fine but then the account that I moved the .pst file on disappeared out of the outlook view. My other two accounts were still intact. When I went to check the profiles the account that I relocated the .pst file on was still in the settings but didn't show up in Outlook view. So, I guess I could of removed that account and added it back but I'm not sure if outlook would of recreated the .pst in the same location I originally had. For now, I went ahead and restore the original .pst location and then changed in back in Control Panel Mail and then the account showed up again. I might have to try again if my C: drive starts getting low. Thanks for anyone else that ran into this and what you did.

just move the pst file to the new directory you want it in, and in CP Mail - click "open file location" and select it, done.

Doesn't seem to work. Outlook didn't ask for a new location, instead, it creates a new pst file at the original location.

Doesn't work of my windows 10 and outlook 2016. If I type Mail at CP, I don't get any of those settings available.

I followed the steps per the video, but now Outlook gives me an Outlook Data Cannot Be accessed error 0x8004010F - I can't send or receive, though I can see all my messages.
