For anyone who wants to fix the label dropping back down when the input is not a valid email:

1. Add placeholder=" " to the inputs in HTML for both email and password
Eg.: <input type="email" placeholder=" " required>

2. Change "input:focus ~ label, input:valid ~ label" to "input:focus ~ label, input:not(:placeholder-shown) ~ label"

This way, as long as the placeholder " " is shown, the labels are down. But whenever we insert something, the label stays up.

Theoretically, something like input:not([value=""]) should work as well, but I didn't get that to work. I am also still learning HTML/CSS
