Fill the bottom of the glass with apple cider vinegar and dish soap.
Flies love the smell of vinegar and normally that would be enough, but for an extra evil kick add the dish soap. When it come in contact with their exoskeleton it forces their breathing pores open.
Imagine taking a large breath of air and being unable to stop sucking in air.

As for “letting them go”………..no, no I don’t think I will.

Thank you much ive tried everything hot water sugar water honey and fruit in a jar kill some but they reproduce . This funnel is a game changer, Bless You . I was going crazy even the fly electric zapper didnt work this time. Maybe they upped the strength and not that sensitive to fruit flies but it shocked the heck out of me.
