Vietnam, China Naval Vessels Clash Over Oil Rig

Vietnam released footage it said was of a Chinese vessel ramming a Vietnamese Coast Guard ship in the South China Sea as Vietnam tried to prevent the deployment of a Chinese oil rig in disputed waters. Via The Foreign Bureau, WSJ's global news update.

If the South China sea hadnt oil resources, the chinese goverment won't even bother wanting the territoryㅡ.ㅡ'. They are too greedy 
And just think about it, if an catastrophe happend, all oil polluting comes to vietnam and the surrounding countries. I dont want Vietnam to get any damage. such beatiful country and nice people

Vietnamese government accused China of violating The United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea ( UNCLOS). But the Vietnamese avoided mentioning the sovereignty issue.  According to the Convention, Vietnam’s territorial waters is 12 nautical miles from the coast line. The Chinese oil rig is 130 nautical miles away from Vietnam’s coast line. So, China is not violating the Convention. Do you Vietnamese guys understand?

After skimming thru the whole messy comment section, I just realized the fact that only Viet and Chinese youngsters were trying to argue about who was wrong and who was right. I know you guys love your country, everyone does, but going online cursing other ppl isn't the right at all. Ask yourself if YouTube or Facebook would be saving you and your families in case war happens. For now, whatever you feel is wrong, complain to your own governments and sign petitions. Commenting trash here won't help.

VietNam is an independent country. we always want to live in peace with good relationships with other countries in the world, including China. we never, ourselves, make wars. But, China's government have themselves make an invation on our waters. we have all legal evidences to proof that we have the rights to our sea area. we don't hate the Chinese. we hate the invation and wrong behaviour of it's government.

China is placing the oil rig in an undisputed area in its own territorial waters which is only 17 nautical miles away from Xisha, and which is as far as 150 nautical miles from Viet-lame.
It was Viet-lame which trying to sabotaging China’s oil exploration by dispatching 36 vessels, including warships, into water near the Chinese oil rig to harass the drilling operation, DELIBERATELY and RAMPANTLY ramming Chinese vessels for multiple times. 
As a provocateur for sea collision, Viet-lame must be liable for the total damages of Chinese vessels.

Never heard of the nine dash line that China claims?   This area is in the nine dash line.  This area is closer to Vietnam but that means nothing, heard of the Falklands war?  The Falkland islands is right next to Argentina but United Kingdom believes it belongs to them.   Falkland islands is about 20, 000 Kilo Meters away from United Kingdoms.  The US also possess some islands in Asia.
