Genestealers faster than a space marine and has claws that can cut through terminator and I think dreadnought. If I recall they can die to standard lasguns. Might take few or more shots but they can die. It’s only a problem for the guard due to speed and flanking also they’re ability blend in to their surroundings.

I think the introduction of the Genestealer Cults has led many to forget the close-combar prowess of the Genestealers. The reason why you don't see them often in video games is because the destroy the power famtasy of the Space Marines in close combat. Space Marine 2 would be broken with Genestealers, because you'd get Insta-killed if you fought 2+ Genestealers at close range.

Genestealers are basically if the tyranids were even more blatent rip-offs of Aliens, only instead of having a queen which kinda ruins the thematic elements of the first film, it's ALL-male, which actually reinforces the metaphor of the first film better than the queen. Genestealer patriarch, 😅
