This is why OEMs always favor working with Intel than AMD. I have a lot of contacts in the industry, and they all say Intel works hand in hand with OEMs to create the best laptop designs and help with engineering. AMD on the other hand just wants to sell OEMs a CPU and wash their hands of involvement. This is why Intel based laptops are always first to market, and AMD struggles to get laptop designs shipped 6 months after their mobile CPU announcements.

very educational, another smart indian person inside Intel - the previous interview was great too. Hopefully people actually stick with these as not many tech channels do this stuff anymore - its usually thumbnails of things on fire, or channels attacking other channels. Good job Leo !

Thank you for a good interview.
Technical question: are the mics connected wirelessly to the voice recorder on the table? Or is the voice recorder on the table an extra mic separate from the mics used by the people in the video?
Cheers.

Really good you are interviewing the people who are designing the most important parts of a PC.

great interview, always get some fascinating little snippets of information from this - i know this question is going to be weird, but do Intel vet and approve these videos and you have to take things out they dont like? always curious.

Cool and quiet and fast. Yep thats what laptops need to be.

I wish in my development jobs I had a boss like this. All of them did work for so many years as devs, then moving into the management, not being into for so long - but still think they know everything in and out and that nothing has changed since they were planing and realizing applications.

So quite a lot of an Intel laptop is designed by Intel. Is this the same for AMD based laptops?

Some fascinating insights. Real shame we don’t see you guys doing this stuff with Amd. Any reason ?

Really enjoyed this interview. Real shame they don’t seem to help some of their partners tighter with cooling advise and guidance in the real world. I just watched your review of the Razer 16 for 2023. Shocking that one.

Wow I started this thinking I was going to fall asleep to be perfectly honest, but it was a surprisingly educating listen. would have worked good in a podcast too.

Good job Leo. As always. Don’t let idiot competitor channels bring you down with dodgy editing in an attempt to get hits ❤

Quite interesting that Intel provide do much work for vendors - thought they just gave them the CPU and told them to get on with it.

So Intel are designing audio for laptops too?

Clearly they need to work more with Razer, those latest Blades (one of which you reviewed) is clearly not following Intel's internal guidelines on physical space re cooling proficiency.

Funny Leo mentioned bedding thats exactly where the laptop gets used.

Very hard environment to develop cooling floor as the form factor really doesnt lend itself to good cooling.

Do they still use the inherently defective CMOS (4 GHz at 600W) or resonant tunnel diode threshold logic (2.2 THz at 5W)?
