I really like how they made the sultan much more realistic in this movie. He seems so worried about Jasmine and you can clearly see in the beginning that he would rather suffer than see his baby girl sad

What I miss about this scene is the sultan's "But... you're so old..." from the original, animated movie.

But Jafar said : THE LAMP ..
That means that he doesn't love jasmine he only cares about the lamp
