Jafar's Last Wish | Aladdin

Aladdin taunts Jafar for being second in power to the Genie, goading him into using his last wish to become "the most powerful being in the universe" which the Genie obliges to, transforming Jafar into an even more powerful genie.
This traps Jafar inside his own lamp, dragging Iago with him, and the Genie banishes them to the Cave of Wonders.

I feel like Jafar could’ve had a more menacing actor versus the one we got. Don’t get me wrong, I love Marwan Kenzari, but the animated Jafar never had to scream to scare people. This Jafar was also missing the flamboyancy that made him memorable.

While I love the original version a lot more than the live action remake, I love how in this version, Genie realizes quickly what Aladdin is trying to convince Jafar to become, and he has a look that screams, “Oh…I see what you’re doing, kid!”

It is cool to see both Aladdin AND Genie outsmart Jafar here. Genies in mythology are known to be tricksters, granting a wish in a way they see fit instead of what the lampholder wanted. Aladdin getting Jafar to say "being" made the wish vague enough for Genie to grant the wish in his own way.
