Russia, as expected, vetoes a UN Security Council resolution that "deplores in the strongest terms" the country's "aggression" against Ukraine. Eleven of the council's 15 members vote for the motion, which was co-written by the United States and Albania. China, India and the UAE abstain.

Born in 1945, the UN Security Council's voting structure is obsolete & useless in keeping World Peace (let alone curbing Climate change). The latest vote sadly did not center on the safety/livelihood of Ukrainian People, but rather on safeguarding Russian gas pipelines. What about the 15 Nuclear power stations in 🇺🇦 ?

Democaratic countries had months to protect Ukraine and just send a few international divisons as peace keepers to the border facing the Russians and Putin would have never shot at Germans, Canadians or Americans because a bully is always a coward too, they go together. This is not the first time the world is witnessing the use of veto for their own purpose, and people who are bashing the abstaining members have no knowledge about how geopolitics works, this issue have to solve diplomatically but no they have to waste time here in the UNSC knowing that Russia is a permanent member🤦‍♀️
