Russia vetoes UN resolution deploring ‘aggression’ in Ukraine; China and India abstain

Russia, as expected, vetoed a UN Security Council resolution on Friday that “deplores in the strongest terms” the country’s “aggression” against Ukraine and demanded the immediate withdrawal of its troops. Eleven of the council’s 15 members voted for the motion, which was co-written by the United States and Albania. China, India and the UAE abstained.

Why is Ukraine asking for India's support and even lecturing India on righteousness and ethics? Did India lecture Ukraine when it was supporting Pakistan through arms and condemned and even supported multiple resolutions against India in UN ? And by the way, Ukraine could have stopped the war by agreeing to not join NATO. But it choose USA over the safety of its people.

Let me tell you why:
1. European powers never condemn china after galwan valley incident or other chinese agression, because they export stuff to china and are dependent on it
2. Ukraine has repeatedly voted against india on kashmir issue
3. Especially germany, even angela Merkel herself supported china and pakistan against india, even today germany policy is to appease china

You could say just like europe never condemns china or pakistan due to t trade, same way india has chose not to condemn russia

1. On to UAE they want russia's cooperation in technology sector
2. Uae signed around 600 mill defence deal with russia
3. UAE is very close to india hence maybe they mirrored each other

India is a key ally of Russia, and Russia is a key ally of India. It is imperative for both that they remain allies, even if Russia is an ally with China. Both India and China abstained because they don't want to get involved in this war. Picking a side is the equivalent of getting involved, so both powers simply abstained. Russia's veto holds a strong authority in the UN as Russia is a permanent member of the UN security council. Nor can the west introduce any reforms to this, for Russia can simply veto it. The invasion of Ukraine is a strategic move by Russia, to get a puppet in Ukraine quickly. Russian forces are already in Kiev, and once they take the capitol they will plant a Russian puppet to aid them. However, Putin could do something even bigger than that. The real danger here is Putin using his control over Kiev to reinstate the current President of Ukraine to power as long as he acts as an ally of Russia, a move which would swiftly solidify Russian control over Ukraine. This is true as former enemies always make the best of allies. If Russia takes Kiev, expect Putin to make this offer, and expect the Ukrainian president to accept this deal with great vigour. Ukrainian forces really have no chance of beating Russia. The real danger here is the sitting president of Ukraine becoming Russia's ally.

Ukraine voted against India in Kashmir resolution, Russia vetod that so we need a veto from Russia on this issue because the rest of the members will support resolution against INDIA

Didn't most of the Western nations kept on maintaining the neutrality when india was facing the armed troubles then what's wrong with we doing the same now ...This struggle is purely between two border nations and we have no business in choosing sides to escalate the war more unlike what the Western countries were doing... Why India should involve in this europian mess, if we take maral ground then how can western nations explain conflict in Africa, distruction of Iraq, bombing of ugoslavia, Vietnam war
When india shut it's mouth we no our we don't have that much influence .
