Ford Mustang | New vs. Classic | Autotrader

If you're into performance cars, you've probably heard about the new 2015 Ford Mustang GT. With an independent rear suspension and the latest technology, it's the most advanced Mustang ever. There's no shortage of power, of course, with the GT's 5.0-liter V8 checking in at 435 horsepower. And the sophisticated new styling is a sight to behold.

But for some folks, nothing looks as good as a 1967 Mustang GT. We got our hands on a '67 with the iconic 4-barrel 289 V8, and the car is flat-out gorgeous. With styling like that, it almost belongs in a museum. The same goes for its artful interior -- they definitely don't make 'em like they used to.

Now, maybe you're thinking this is an unfair comparison, because the old one must be way more expensive. But a '67 Mustang GT actually goes for about $30,000-$40,000 on average. Coincidentally, that's the 2015 Ford Mustang GT's price range, too.

$34, 000 in 2014? Damn, nowadays in 2019 the classic 67 GT is more than $60, 000!

Back in my High School Days of the 70's, I drove a 66 Ford Mustang Coupe that my father bought for me for about $900.00 Bucks and I later fixed it up like a 66 Shelby GT350 Coupe! Today I own a 2003 Ford Mustang GT/Cobra Project Car, but I did some research online because I am thinking of getting a 69/70 Ford Mustang Mach 1...So I found out that on the average you can get a Decent 69/70 Mach i for about $35, 000.00 +/- and a used 2015 Premium Mustang GT is also about $35, 000.00 +/- on the average as well!

So my favorite car was always the 69/70 Shelbys from my High School Days...So I've been thinking of getting a 69/70 Fastback aka a Sportsroof Mustang (like a Brand New Dynacorn Body Shell) and putting a wrecked 2015+ Premium Mustang GT Engine, Drivetrain, Interior and IRS into the 69/70 Body! Well, we'll have to wait and see!...God Bless!

BTW...I might just wait for the 2019 Shelby GT500 Twin Turbo Mustang with the New 10sp. Auto Trans and Paddle Shift!

I love both Old School Ford Mustang Fastback 1967 and New Ford Mustang GT 2015. But Ford Mustang Fastback 1967 is my personal favourite.

The new Mustang GTs (2015+) are pretty nice in my opinion. However; I'm not a big fan of what they did to the front when they got rid of the duel-headlamps for the GTs. It looks a little too modern compared to the previous generation [2005-'14] which played a homage to the grand old Mustangs of the 1960s and early '70s.

The older ones are easier to fix and easier to switch up so id go with the older one but the new one is sexy asf btw the old one looks like a shark 😍

The air vents on the old fastbacks are real, on newer ones they're fake. I do like how the modern ones have tried to pay an homage to the old since 2005 tho.
