I commented down below also...but...for those watching...The FAA allows 60 lbs for the floats exemption on helicopters under the Part 103 guidelines, bringing that total to 314 lbs. Very interesting reading... Many manufacturers have found ways to implement innovations --- The Mosquito XEL is one such example...not talked about here...also available as a piston craft outside the Part 103 guidelines, and a turbine craft, which are roughly $30k, $50k and $80k roughly.

i think your idea of cheap and mine are different. as far as easy to fly i have a multi-engine rating and took one lesson in a R-22. helicopters are not easy to fly and getting instruction isn't inexpensive.

Anything weighing over 254 pounds does NOT meet the Part 103: ultralight rules. You WILL need training and a License to fly one of these.
