Despite Manchester City losing the match 3-2 it was evident throughout the match that they aimed to high-press Tottenham. As illustrated throughout the video Manchester City used many pressing principles such as strikers curving their runs, forcing defenders to one side, and dropping off to encourage the opposition to play a short pass from kick-off. The aim of this video is to highlight how Manchester City effectively pressed Tottenham through a variety of different techniques. Therefore, coaches may use this video as an educational tool and reflect on how they may design football training sessions that can enable their players to press like Manchester City.
