2016-2020 VW Volkswagen Passat - Oil Service Reset and Maintenance Light

This video shows you step by step on how to reset the Oil light indicator on a Volkswagen VW Passat. This works for 2016 2017 2018 2019 2020 model year Passats.

1. Before starting the car press and hold the 0.0/Set(trip reset) button on the dash
2. Turn the ignition to the run position using key or push button.
3. When the message "Do you really want to reset your oil service?" appears Push "OK" button on right hand side of the steering wheel to reset oil.
4. "Service Reset" should appear and the oil life has been reset!

For the inspection service reset you do the same thing but you press the hazard button first then the same process.

Okay you have to first hold set button and also press ignition at the same time.

-turns key to on position

Car:
-resets trip meter

Me:
-tried with hazards on in the beginning

Car:
Same issue.
