Bought it in 2016, first journey has been to the south of france, Collioure. 10 h for 1020 km (2 breaks, each half an hour, no refueling) and an average fuel consumption of 4.8 l/100 km. Great car, no regrets ! (2 Liter TDI, 150 hp)

Have no idea what people are going on about saying this car has a boring design. I for one thinks is looks stunning. Very classy and upmarket. Those curves and creases found in nearly every other car, which makes them all look the same, are in fashion one year and out the next. Volkswagen has a certain style about them. This design will look modern in 15 years time from now. It is very Germanic. Clean, efficient and classy. Looks like a beautiful car. Will certainly be looking at them in a couple of months time. Great review as always. This format is of course the best !

Iv had a 2.0 tdi GT Passat B8 for 5 years (iv had 6 Passats and normally keep for 3 years) it has been faultless and regularly returns 60 mpg on a run, has no squeeks or rattles and is a joy to drive

I own the new passat and it's a great great car. The interior is very good looking and has high quality materials and the exterior is just beautiful.
I have the 1.4 tsi and the fuel efficiency is about 1/12
I love it just love it.
Feels better than sitting in the small c class even tough the merc is beautiful

My dad had a 1999 1.8 turbo passat i loved it. boot space was big and in the back. he has a jag x type now and its smaller in the back

which is the best or the strongest engine in passat? 190hp or 240hp? and what about automatic transmission is it good?does it make problems? Is it better in 4motion? So in short term, is this a such a really good car?

what he, s not telling you, 70 mpg on the motorway or dual carriage ways, i get 64.7 and above regular, use premium deisel fuel always, regular service it, its a nice motor. i had the cc but i found the cc to be nice but i did not need all that room and in the passat the rear seating is better in the cc its got more low down low curved roof, so thats a problem the passat is way better and roomy too, 2.0 tdi 150 bhp is teh best engine allround, great mpg. I, m very happy with mine.
