Very curious to see if Microsoft would consider implementing the new AI to reboot Cortana and reboot a mobile phone lineup after 10+ years (IIRC) of not developing and building smartphones

I use both Edge and Firefox. Depending on what I do. Firefox has hardware acceleration on where edge has it off - so when I play games, then Edge is being used for streaming, watching youtube and such. But will probably also be my main for search and stuff like that in the future.

Been using Bing since past 2 year’s including my Mac iPhones and anywhere I use web browsing
Edge was always my way of choice because of resource healthy but this is absolute game changer

I have been using Edge since they changed to Chromium. Have enjoyed the speed and UI. This Open AI integration certainly talks for staying with Edge. But still on the "edge" on changing default search from Google to Bing...

wow, as someone who's used to using very structured search terms to find things on the internet (i.e. you conform to the limitations and syntax of the search engine) it's pretty mind blowing to see a search tool that you can interact with using 'casual' human speech and have it output personalized results. i honestly would have not tried something like this on my own without you first showing it was an option

Slight correction, the original edge with the blue E logo back with the OG win 10 was based on IE, then Microsoft realized the structure of Chrome, and later down the line they switched to Chromium as a base. That's why now you are able to use Chrome extensions in Edge and not to mention better performance and security now. I've already switched to bing now just waiting for the public release of the chatgpt version, but from playing with it. It's such a useful tool

I have been using the chromium based edge for a few years now. It does everything chrome does but more effortless and quick. With these new added features, Edge is now moved further ahead of chrome, enough for users to make the switch.

I am so ****ing looking forward to this. working in both the tech, and automotive space. almost every single one of the top indexed pages on any technical question you ask, are useless. They're just there to drive traffic to some site for ad revenue, typically with a pre-filled explanation where it inserts your keywords. even being able to open a manual, and rather than reading individual descriptions spread out through a few hundred pages, I can summaries that into one section? That alone will probably save me countless hours of both personal and work time.

I can't wait for this to roll out the Bing bar update. I personally stopped using Chrome user ago, all the memory leaks and spam extension became too much.

chrome is so big i doubt anything could harm it that significantly. combined with the fact that edge and bing don't have the best reputations either.

This is a big W for edge. This would make switch. Just the ability to extrapolate from multiple sources so quickly and provide where it got the information is amazing. Wading through nonsense for you so you can more easily get to where/what you want.

I actually used BING quite a lot with some image related stuff, where Googles results just showed very low resolutions and quality. Sometimes I need to switch back, though. But most of the time BING just gave me better results with THAT particular thing. So its nice to see it being improved. Would hate to loose it.
