She is a South African who was born in 1894 and has lived through the times of two world wars, apartheid, and British colonialism. Both her birth certificate and a national ID prove that she really is as old as she says.

That's crazy because they were just talking about the oldest person on the planet was a 119 year old Japanese woman who just died. Oh well🤷🏿‍♂️

Here in Ghana, there are those even older. I'm sure the same holds true for other African countries. The thing is, many of the communities that they are in are not very interested in the type of attention, intrusion and scientific "inquiry" associated with publicity.
