An attorney, who is also famous may not have much in common with the mindset of a man who is content being a bus driver. Dating people that are on different financial levels comes with different lifestyles, hobbies etc too. People have overly simplified the conversation. Everyone has a right to choose a partner that suits their desires. Go watch Iyanla’s real thoughts on why she wouldn’t get married again after 3 failed marriages from back in the day. Please.

We were always encouraged to do better and at least date people on our level. Comparing Stedman to a bus driver is apples to oranges. Stedman graduated from Ball State University. Oprah and Steadman are not a comparable example. Steadman has followed his purpose, he's passionate about his work, and he's made an impact on the lives of young people. That he doesn't earn as much as Oprah isn't the point. If you have no plans other than driving the bus it's not unreasonable for someone walking in their purpose to decide it's not a match. There are lot's of jobs that pay so little that driving the bus would be a financial come up. People don't have the same feelings about youth workers, mentors, community organisers or activists, most of these people are not rich. There is something about a person with a purpose.
