in 2016, still we have to delete useless apps by doing itunes on the computer . no direct option right from the appstore in the iphone, ,, fck that.

Thanks for the info. I did this hide thing once but it didn't do the trick. Now the cloud icon on downloaded apps are gone. Which is nice. Don't open the Appstore on your device while you are hiding.
