Hank is such a natural at stand up. It makes sense, after all his experience in communication, and his lovely personality already goes a long way, but stages are a different beast and he just embodies the stand up vibe so seamlessly. It’s not all that different from Hank talking to his camera, but at the same time it’s completely different. I love it.

I forget most of the time I've survived cancer and other things. I get to remember and have a laugh with Hank's shorts.
The wife never forgets though. I have had major heart failure as well; but I push myself pale often. I have spinal issues that cause nerve pain and I don't even notice the change in how I walk just notice when it hits 'drop foot' level of numbness and pain combined.
I try to exist without that being a part of me, for the people that care about me. Though this reminds me of the moments I do have a moment of clarity about it; I work with horse and sometimes it seems they are extra tender with me compared to everyone else; it is like they know you are struggling and still give them your all.
