Popular Electronics, July 1964 issue, had an article on how to build a tesla coil. I was 13 and my father had a 6, 000 volt transformer used for neon lights (a large sign). When we ran the coil, the neighbors would complain since it affected their radio's and TVs.

Of note Wardenclyffe, the site of the Tesla-tower, is currently being redeveloped into a Tesla science center and museum. And while the tower is gone, most of the other buildings are there. They actually are doing a groundbreaking ceremony on the site the day this video goes live (April 27, 2023)

It's such a shame that the man who built the foundation for the world we live in today, died broke, alone, and unappreciated. That's a history lesson in itself 😢

Tesla formed the foundation of the modern world we enjoy, alternating current, radio, not to mention the electric motor. Yet his thoughts, ideas, and vision remain underappreciated in the present.

I was always fascinated with his thought of the future! Interesting we don't have this today.... he was way a head of his time.

Awesome video as always but I gotta say... As a lifelong resident of Buffalo NY it feels like a shame you didn't really touch on one of his greatest accomplishments beyond mentioning it as a footnote. Designing the first hydroelectric dam and transmitting power from the Falls all the way down to Buffalo which is a good 40 minutes away.

The Wardenclyffe building still stands and was designed by famous architect Stanford White and is being redeveloped as a Tesla science center.

Edison was like Steve jobs, he didn't know much technology or engineering but knew business and hired people to invent for him and his company was said to be the inventor of many common items, but it was not him, it was his workers. Tesla worked for him for a bit. Where Tesla was a genius and a man before his time.
