For now, the Levi bot is only available for course owners to practice their openings. In the future we may open it up to all users.

Levi is currently in Version 1 so definitely lots of room for improvement.

Let me know how you like it!

Only Levy would keep a 1hr 23min "Win at chess" video as "MASSIVE ANNOUNCEMENT"

For future reference, the original title was “MASSIVE ANNOUNCEMENT”

I love the part when Levy whipped out his MASSIVE ANNOUNCEMENT. Truly one of the Levy of all time.

40:18 is some of the best content I've seen all year.

More series ideas: 1) Win at Chess Gambits Edition - Win at chess, but only gambits allowed 2) Steamingrolling Subscribers - a series where you try to win as many games as possible in 1.5 hours, moving up the elo bracket each episode (500 elo, 600 elo, 700 elo etc.)

When the announcement is so big that it takes 1hr 23 mins to tell

Thanks so much for bringing this series back! It's the reason I started watching your videos years ago and in all that time, I've learned a lot from this!

I saw you interviewed on Lex's show so I checked out your channel.
I love this video series.
I have always wanted to see into a top player's thinking process during a live game.
This has been so enlightening for me.
What I particularly like is the casual way that you identify and deal with the various unknowns in a move or position. You think critically about it, but you don't sweat what you don't know/see at the moment.
I realize I've spent too much of my chess life agonizing over finding "the one perfect move" in every position, and not appreciating the flow of the game.

How to win at anything:
1. Play & Practice more than your opponent

Gotham really listened to his Twitch viewers naming the bot Levi...

I thought the announcement was him coming back to OTB chess tournaments. He mentioned it in the dual stream with Hikaru that he's been studying openings for tournaments.

Just want to say thanks for bringing this series back. Win at chess and your openings speedruns really helped me get into the game

levy naming his bot “levi” is so funny to me, glad he found the humour in everyone misspelling his name

I love how Levy's opening on the first game is literally based on luck. The opponent has to blunder otherwise, they have a great position.

In 6:38 if white had played Nd2 then would have been bad because after black plays Nxd4 then white can not play NxBe4 because you have a night sacrifice by playing Nf3+ which is a discovered attack on the queen with your rook and white can not defend his queen because he is in check.
In 9:50 white could have escaped the fork by playing Rc4 which would move his rook out of danger (the c4 square is well protected by two pawns so the queen can not capture) and black would be able to play Nxb4 and take the bishop because he would lose his queen.
In 11:50 you made the right move, but I think that it is worth to point out that if you had played Be4 instead of Rb4, white would probably make a one-mover by playing g3 which would blunder Mate in one because that would allow you to play Rh8# and end the game.
In 45:14 if white plays Qd4 then he just blunders his light squared bishop because after he moves his queen she is no longer guarding the b3 square.

I don't understand why the Scandinavian Defense is always advised for low elo, you lose a tempo after Nc3 and after 4 book moves, white is +1.2. When i was low elo they taught me to play the Sicilian D. Best counter for e4 in my opinion!

I wish he would play at his strength and not at his players.
