6:08 Levy never fails to get his queen trapped (Qxc3 Rb3)

Hi, I was the 2000 rated player in the video. Likely a result of nerves, but I was so pessimistic of my position after 6...Nc6 that I had convinced myself that I had lost the pawn despite there being obvious moves like d5 and Be2 to save it. And then as soon as I played Nxe4 I realised the trap... it's crazy how much your psychological state affects how you play.

This is legitimately the best and most informative video series that Levy does. I love these a lot, I think it's such an educational way of watching chess.

No Joke Iv been watching this specific series for months now as a sleep aid, like every single episode multiple times now. something about the slower pace, relaxed teaching and constantly changing things to focus on, helps me drift off to sleep so perfectly.

57:45 knight takes d6, then you have the pin on the queen and the king with your light bishop

Legit this is my favorite. Between the chill nature of it and being instructive, please keep this going!

Imagine your opponent is taking long to make moves, so you'd think he's calculating and trying his best only to find out that it's just because he's explaining to his audience why your moves suck lmao

I much prefer these instructional type videos as opposed to “Magnus did …”

There is so much dedications to these videos. Imagine having to sit talking for an hour and twenty minutes straight, while talking up strategies with no edit skips. Just really surprised, and honestly, you deserve a hand, bro.

The ultimate chess advice from Levy: "There's a lot of things you can do, as long as you're not making a mistake." At 1:18:18.

When Levy changes his favourite opening from Caro-Kann to Scandinavian, you know time's flying and you're old
