throwing foods that have required so much resources in the whole process before reaching the shelf of these expensive stores? or picking them up from the bins? -- thinking about those who don't have access to food and how much subsidies have been rendered to processes of food production, i think it is rather sad that the things are rid off the shelves without better ways to optimize them first. we have to change the pattern of our business and consumption!

This is called Freeganism. You need to use a lot of tuition on food when it comes to picking something healthy and not spoiled. She was smart to not take the Alfa alfa sprouts, those can hold e.coli. The tomatos and grapes looked perfect. Just because it were sitting on the top of a bin doesn;t mean its poisonous. It would have been there for less than a couple hours. Just make sure you wash and cook your food WELL and not do it without any knowledge on food quality. If its sitting at the bottom/middle of a bin all day however, dont even try unless you're majorly desperate in the apocalypse.

I have to admit I agree that stores and places that sell food are very very wasteful. There should be a limited time period when food are on sale, then after that given to the poor that way NOTHING goes to waste. I'm tired of this world. Everything is being wasted hundreds and billions of dollars of food wasted for no reason whatsoever. We have a lot of hungry people all over the world. People we must speak to our governors about this and get their aid!
