For nearly the last decade, the #ToyotaRAV4Hybrid has been the SUV of choice for a 30+ MPG crossover. When Toyota introduced the all-new version last year, they raised the benchmark to 40 MPG and sales increased even more with the Hybrid version now accounting for over 25% of all RAV4 sales. Honda has always been right behind Toyota with the CR-V and for 2020, the company is looking to expand their market share with the first-ever #HondaCRVHybrid. It also reaches 40 MPG and with 212 HP, it’s the most powerful CR-V Honda has ever produced. The #CRVHybrid is on sale today at a starting price only $1,200 more than the gas only version of the #CRV. Come back on 3/17 at 8am EST to see our full review with driving impressions on the first-ever AWD #Hybrid from Honda.

My wife and I just test drive both of these cars and we both felt like the Crv was a lot more comfortable. The Rav4 we tested was a XSE blizzard pearl with midnight black trim. Its a very sexy car but it all ends there. The chairs for me weren't as comfortable as the CRV -EX- L. The Rav4 also lacked memory adjusted seats. You would have to upgrade to the Limited for that. You also would have to pay after a year for some of the safety features that come standard with Honda. No remote start on the XSE trim which is included in the CRV Ex-L. Another place that Toyota took shortcuts was not being able to fold the second row from the back of the car. You would have to go around and manually fold it in the XSE trim. The CRV-EX-L actually has lever on the side in the back where you can pull them. The front passengers seat is also manual adjustment vs the CRV you still get electric adjustment seats. We got offers
for 39, 000 drive out for the Rav4 and 33, 200 drive out for the CRV. For the price difference and lack of some features that were important to my wife, we went with the CRV-EX-L. The Rav4 in my opinion was the better looking car but not worth the price difference due to the lack of of features.

CRV has all those features Panoramic sun roof, heated rear seats, HUD, 360 camera but only in Foreign markets it’s pretty obvious that Honda wants to protect the RDX sales in America

You failed to mention that the Rav4 has a spare tire while the CR-V only has a tire repair kit.

honda is gonna win this one because toyota continues to sell rav4 hybrids with defective fuel tanks. i have a 2019 hybrid limited but like so many others i can only get 9-10 gallons in it so my range is limited to 400 miles per tank. it should be around 500 with 14 gallons. google it, there are 1000s complaining about this.

My parents have been asking me to do research on both these cars for them. Thanks for saving me the work!

Bought a RAV4 Hybrid Limited in July. Have never gotten the sticker MPG. More like 30-32 city driving. Bringing it in for a checkup in a few weeks and will see how they explain the low mileage. We drove a CRV before we bought the RAV 4. RAV4 has more cabin noise than the CRV. Our Subaru lease ended and we tried the new Subaru. Drove well and quiet but we opted to go for the better milage from the RAV 4 which in hindsight we are not getting.

Although Sofyan didn't mention it when he was discussing the backseats in both cars, it appeared that the CR-V's rear doors opened much wider than did the RAV4's. This would make entering, exiting or placing child seats in the CR-V much easier.

Great Video! I would also pick the Toyota. Also Toyotas hybrid system has proven it's reliability and durability so you know it is good.

I realize it can be obnoxious to leave constructive criticism in the YouTube comment section, but as someone who sometimes listens to the reviews while working on other things or listens to the audio of the videos while walking home from work, it would really help if the videos said the model of the vehicle instead of saying "this car" has X, but "this car" has y, since it means I'm constantly having to look over (or opening the video app on my phone) to see what vehicle is being referenced. Nevertheless, these are great reviews, and I appreciate them.

The Toyota has reclining rear seats and spare tire. Not in the CR-V. That's why the rear floor is lower on CR-V

I was very impressed by my RAV4 Hybrid tester a few months ago, but I'm very curious to drive the CR-V in comparison, mainly because I'm a Honda fanboy. But I do think the RAV4 is good looking and very spacious....

when you compare trims Honda is the clear winner, Rav4 XLE vs CR-V EX, the Honda comes standard with full LED's, Moonroof, more interior space, nicer wheels and more interior space.

Great review. I ended up getting the Honda CR-V EX-L and I absolutely love the car. I like the touchscreen versus Toyota buttons. I also don't have to pay an extra 5k for the features. I honestly really love the CR-V as it has plenty of space and I am also looking at starting my own family soon! Great review, it helped me see that the CR-V was the way to go for me vs the Rav4.

The RAV4 hybrids AWD system does still work if the battery 🔋 is low. The rav uses a dual electric motor Planetary gear set, so it can drive the car with one motor, and engine power, and with the other electric motor it can generate power and send that directly to the rear electric motor/and battery if necessary.

I think the RAV4s rear end could look less minivan ish, especially since the front looks so masculine. Great car though.

Ventilated seats and 360 camera already win for RAV4.

I have the 2021 Honda CR-V EX-L AWD trim and it's a nice vehicle. I can't be more happier with the reliability, durability, comfortable Interior and decent in gas mileage. Also, it's the best selling SUV.
