The origins of words is always an interesting topic but when the origins of words are relatively unknown puns sometimes they need explaining. As awful as puns are.

Awesome, I love a good pun. Even better from a time period that I feel can sometimes take things a bit too seriously

It's why I prefer classical period Athens. Able to be serious and mock itself in equal measure.
