I love your posts, and the education you provide. I am planning to build my own. My concern is, with the bubble system, do I need to worry in 10, 15, 20 years the gravel planting zone will need to be dug up and cleaned/ replaced? I see systems that have external filters, and/or more mechanical systems that can assist with cleaning the gravel zones. But that adds a lot of cost and complexity. Thank you!

Hey, I love the series it's incredible and wanted to ask from a good place. What is different about your pool pond to other pools/stagnant water that prevents E. coli, Salmonella, Camplobacter,  Legionella, Pseudomonas and norovirus (all of those are from google, I'm no expert). I'm curious :D

Since it’s gotten colder here in Arizona, I’ve noticed that there is white foam on the surface caused by my air stones that are just circulating the water

My pond "turned over" and stinks extra, extra badly. It's an almost septic level of odor.

Is there a point where I should consider aerating it? Too bring in some oxygen.

What do you suggest?

I've noticed a lot of yellow foam around my small private pond that my whole family swims in. I say it's the kids peeing in the pond, my wife says to ask you so whats up?
