Thanks Gary! I changed out my filter but had water pouring out of the pressure relief button on top. I was able to clear it out by pushing it up and down like you showed in the video. I was starting to panic. Thanks again for your help.

Very helpful! My father and I changed out the water filter and when we put it back we found out that the air release valve was leaking water. Was afraid it would be a whole project to have to replace the entire water filter fixture, but thankfully (because of this video) all we had to do was unfasten the screw in the base of the cover. Turns out the O-ring had completely disintegrated (which of course meant there was no air tight seal) put a reserve one in and now we're all set! Could've been so much worse without that info.

Loved the video! The top of my housing has 4 screws that attach the unit to the bracket. It's leaking from the front right screw. I tried tightening it (not too tight as to cross thread/strip the screw hole), but it still leaks. Any idea as to why?

I was going to replace the o-ring but find that replacement o-rings for the AP801 housing seem to large...thoughts?

What about a leak from the 2 filters connected to each other. There's a little length hose that connects the filters. I have 3 total filters 20 by 2.5. From Express Water. Thank you. Blessings.

Thanks for this video. I had a problem with the pressure release button. I'm still seeing a bit of a drip oozing out but it isn't as bad as it was before and I'll monitor it to see if it clears up in the next day or two. I had to deal with the screw. I was scared to tighten it too much for fear of stripping something.

So it looks like we have a some sort of puncture hole or crack on the top as the top is squirting out a tiny stream of water. I’m trying to stop at temporarily by hitting that pressure button over and over but it just seems like water just keeps on coming out and it’s never ending. Do you think at this point is it’s time to just replace the water filter?

My Culligan filter is leaking from the top, BUT not at the ACTUAL pressure release button but under the button. Is this still a small o ring issue ?

My filter housing calls for no pipe dope. Anyone have any suggestions as to what I can do to stop it from micro leaking? Three wraps of Teflon doesn't seem to be doing the trick

Hi Gary - thanks for the video. We have to change our filters regularly due to sediment. We have the 4.5 x 20 Viqua filter housing units with the small drain. I would like to swap out the drain screw for something easier to use - like small drain valve. Do you happen to know the thread size of the drain screw?

My filter housing was leaking from the screw holes. Must be a crack near the pressure release button. Gotta buy a new one, it’s been years. Thanks for the tips
