When ABC got the rights for "WAGON TRAIN" from NBC in the fall of 1962, MCA also sold them a package of repeats from the first four seasons (1957-'61), which was seen under the "MAJOR ADAMS, TRAILMASTER" title on weekends- and later, weekdays- from 1963 through '65 {"WAGON TRAIN" finally ended in 1965}, and then placed into syndication. Post-1961 episodes without Ward Bond were later added and repeated as "TRAILMASTER". After a while, the original title was restored in syndication.
