How to Fix a Smelly Dishwasher

If your dishwasher is leaving a stinky odor on all of your cups, plates, and bowls, this video will hopefully help you fix it!

Dishwashers are great when they are functioning properly, but unfortunately reports of bad smells are very common across home improvement forums. Some people describe it as a wet dog smell, others say it's more sulphur-like. In this video, I'm going to address a few reasons why this might be happening, and at the end I'll share the weird solution to my problem.

I NEVER out raw egg into the dishwasher. Theyll get a quick wash with liquid dawn then they go in..

My dishwasher filter is clean so i never unduerstood why it is smelly i will try the egg thing even tho i always add vinegar if the load contains eggs or chicken dishes

Also i wanna know my salt compartment is filled with water could that be why its smelly
I don't use the dish washer alot since it makes my cups kinda smelly and i hate iv only had for less than a year and have used in a total of 10 to 12 uses at most

Also, if you have a Septic Tank, do not use the "Clear Biodegradable Pods" for your Dishwasher, as the "Biodegradable Material" does NOT fully degrade and can cause a costly build-up within your Septic Tank.

do you do the same with bleach as with vinegar (ie put a glass of bleach in the empty washer and run a cycle)?

The best way to fix it, is disconnected from water supply lines and drain, don't use anymore, and save a lot problem to kitchen cabinet.
