Trump thought that he can " buy" the supreme court. He did not take into account that in most people, there are always compassion and decency and doing the right thing.Hats off to Kavanaugh and chief justice.

Yay! During this pandemic it would be a very hateful thing to take healthcare away from people.

Imagine receiving all the care you need, without ever reaching into your wallet. I can. I’m Canadian.

Just to be clear, the reason republicans don't like the ACA is because the health insurance industry who donates to their campaigns don't want to risk their profits if they have to cover people with pre-existing conditions. Way to look out for your priorities!

They won't do what a lame duck says. Maybe if he won. Sorry Trump, even your nominations have forgotten you.

I wonder, given how apparently popular the ACA is, if it is struck down, how it will impact the Senate race in Georgia....

Let's hope We The People in the end of their decision are proud of the Supreme Court and justice is alive and well. To think of Millions of Fellow Americans who are dependent and benefiting from this Health Care especially in the middle of a Pandemic it's crucial that it stands. National Health Care is crucial. They don't realize that all the People who have lost their employer's health care because of the Pandemic who no longer have there jobs how stressed they are.
Trump doesn't care and neither do the Republicans it's shameful.
They all have Health Care they don't have to worry only the People in this Country do. Sad very Sad.

Judging from today's oral arguments I think it's safe to say that (although not always the case) the judicial branch has the least amount of partisanship shenanigans going on at the highest court, and this is a good thing to see, especially from Chief Justice Roberts.

A note for my right-leaning family and friends from my left-leaning self as we all head down the road to the election:

They say we want to disband police departments (and that we hate the police): we don’t, that’s a lie. We want to weed out racism and unnecessary police brutality and for those who abuse their power to be held accountable.

They say we want to release all prisoners: we don’t, that’s a lie. We want to weed out racism and ensure the punishments match the crimes and to deprivatize prisons.

They say we want open borders: we don’t, that’s a lie. We want asylum seekers to be given their chance to seek asylum. We want to help people who are coming from unimaginable terror and poverty, to help to give them the chance we have. We want to ensure children aren’t separated from their parents and that nobody is kept in cages. But we do want proper vetting.

They say we want to take away your guns: we don’t, that’s a lie. We want logical gun control to help prevent mass shootings.

They say we want to wage a war on Christianity and Christian values: we don’t, that’s a lie. We want people of all religions to be able to practice and worship freely. Some of us love Jesus too.

They say we want to get everything for free, or that we think handouts are okay: we don’t, that’s a lie. We want to work hard and make sure that healthcare and education are affordable for ALL.

They say we want a war against traditional marriage: we don’t, that’s a lie. We want all people to be able to love freely, no matter who you love.

They say we want to destroy or rewrite history: we don’t, that’s a lie. We want to recognize the ugly parts of our past and do everything we can to say “that’s not okay, let’s not honor those aggressors, let’s not let those things happen again.”

They say we want to take away your constitutional rights: we don’t, that’s a lie. We choose to believe science and wear masks and try to prevent the spread of this disease.

They say we hate America: we don’t, that’s a lie. We just recognize our faults and want us to do better, be better.

Stop with the us vs. them. Our position is one of empathy, compassion, and logic. Please stop believing the hype. Stop with the division. Stop with the generalizations.

Just because we want equality for all doesn’t mean we want to take anything away from you.

Copied/pasted from a friend because it’s true.
