I like to PvP, and PvE. Usually wearing an Exo Suit nowadays. Unlocking it is easy with no cheats needed anymore, and usually on a server, official or unofficial, I'm not fussed. Single Player is great though, certainly with a guide for any platform be it xbox, ps4, ps5, pc, it's great. Sometimes play MTS, and usually post patch/update. But a survival game needs some community news and that's what I do, giving you the latest on events, small tribes, maybe even fast flyers and primitive plus, usually covering all maps from Island to Genesis Part 2. And one day. ARK 2!

Fun(or actually not so fun) fact, the rhynio’s breeding method of impregnating creatures and having the babies burst out is taken from the real life breeding methods of some wasp species. Tarantula Hawks are large wasps that hunt tarantulas and other spiders. When ready to breed, females will find a tarantula, sting it and paralyze it, drag the spider back to its nest, then lay their eggs on it. The eggs hatch on the paralyzed spider, and the larvae eat it. In Ark the creature immediately dies once the baby bursts out, which is for the best since in real life it’s actually a much slower, more horrific process.

Watched this and syntac's both are amazing. Rhino can be trapped and re breed. Rng is indeed a part. Feeding the cravings completely gives best chance of higher Stat babies. But all babies so far are male only. Thank you Raas for a great quick guide. Behe gates do seem to make best simple trap for this.

A little clarification on the "drag weight" It only determines the chance that the Ryhniognatha carries the stats from the host so choosing to use something like a bronto would only be wise if you already breeding brontos for hp stats. Gigas would be great because breeding melee in them is common and already bred pretty high. Having to start a new line of brontos just to get a slightly better chance to carry stats would take more time/space/energy than to just use rexes that you already have hp/melee bred way higher in 9/10. Its cool to note that brontos/gigas/carchas/megas all give the max % conversion of stats BUT the ammount of time it would take to get any of those 4 tames to the stats that most people have their rexes (mine are 150HP, 120Melee) would take months as oppose to just killing a bunch of the rhyniognatha and spam taming with cloned or bred rexes to get the hp/melee i already worked on breeding. Just an important note.

"How are we gonna balance this creature"

"No"

Considering the level thing with movement speed, Quetzals and Wyverns would be the best for this since they don’t get stats in movement speed, making them a better host

Listen, people Pay attention to grab structures. It needs resin you can grab few stuff but it is very useful and BE CAREFUL NOT running out of resin while grabbing a structure be it tek transmiter, generator or vault because it you run out it will automatically destroy it

I've noticed that every DLC the featured insect gets more powerful, I was wondering what the Islands OP insect was but turns out he was just late to the game🎉

There seems to be a bug where if the Rhynio lands it can't do it's impregnate attack and it gets stuck on the ground, making it useless for the purpose of impregnating.

Also, some dinos aren't able to consume the pheromone, like Stegos and Ankys, for whatever odd reason.

Also, the Stego seems to have a few more bugs, vs the Rhynio, like reflecting dmg back at it (had a stego on passive kill a Rhynio, some how) and it's impale attack seems to 1-shot Rhynios (requires the Rhynio to land). 😅

Raas just a headsup a patch was released that changed it to where now only males drop the pheromone

BUG ❤

Oh yeah, since the initial writing of the taming guide I've learned two more things of note.

On the smaller side of things, supposedly, organic polymer is also on the list of potential craving requests.

And, a far more major thing to note. You cannot use tek, aquatic or unbreedable creatures as hosts, nor can you use creatures below a certain size. The Trike and Shadowmane seem to be on the smaller side of hosts that can be used.

Great video, Raas.

Direct, informative, thorough, and all with your singature editing and charisma.

Do ONLY base stats from the impregnated dino matter?

Or do LEVELED stats count?

In case anyone didn't know, Rhynio can stand upright on a cliff, tree or something like taperaja or desmodus

This thing is damn fast.
I thought it would be pretty slow but no it has the speed of an attack helicopter indeed.

can you use the pheramone on your rynio and have it impregnated? (basically breeding rynios, one tamed the other wild) the fact it cannot breed like normal might be putting a stop to super breeders, but if this works it might still work

Before people lose there minds about this thing being OP need I remind you that this is a flying creature. So not only will it take 3x damage from ranged weapons but are old friend the Velonasaur will likely make a joke out of this thing.

What a final creature...
It's like they stitched many traits from different dinos into it
Wish I could take one since I only play on Switch I'm gonna have to wait 1000 years lol

I wonder if the Egg Incubator buff lets you see the inherited stats before birthing so you can save your tame for another try?
