The best creatures to use seem to be carcharodontosaurs/gigas, the higher the drag weight, the better the stats on the baby, and the baby rhynios take traits from the parents, so if you have maxed out mutated carcharodontos, the rhynio can have 250+ mutations into certain stats, you can also trap and re-use the wild parents with behemoth gate ways

IMPORTANT: have the cravings ready. yes, this includes giga eggs, carchar eggs, even a golden hesperornis egg, and resources such as element, achatina paste and absorbent substrate. it can also ask for crafted foods, such as kibble, stews, battle tartar, shadow stake and more. if you have them ready, the chance you get all the cravings is much higher.
USE:
bronto
giga
carch
megachelon maybe?
the higher the drag wieght, the better the rhynio can take over parent stats.
use mutated gigas or carches if you have them, they can take over the 254 stats
use behe gates to trap it and reuse one female, so you dont have to look for more
net it when u lower its hp, it wont fly side to side and make it harder to kill it by accident

Wildcard needs to up its spawn chance, having it have a reaper-like mechanic where you have to kill one and have to find an other is heavily contradicted by its abysmal spawn rate. Feels like it’s way worse than Phoenix and really ruins the hope of getting one.

If you use extended hud when it's impregnated, you will see eqq quality %, host size% and craving satisfaction above the orange incubation time.
This will help with testing and finding out the exact heirachy order for which Dino to use.

Egg health percentage is based on the level of the wild rhyniognatha.

Bronto. Giga and charcoal sseem to give 100% host size. Haven't tested anything else
Rex gives 78%

Also the cravings don't need to be on 0 slot, just inside your inventory :)

7:31 this is the moment the quetzal died horribly with a nuke dropped on it's fat head... hopefully older creatures stay revelant in ark 2, cuz a lot from the first game just become irrevelant overtime

The metal dino gates worked for me every time, you have to place to where there are no gaps but enough gap for you to hit it and remove gate when its below health for impregnation, and its able to fly out and attack and impregnate the dino, then I netted and proceeded to trap it in the metal dino gates again. It can escape if there is a large gap around where its back is so make sure to place them round the head/front legs, chest, and abdomen a little bit above the tail. It has worked for me and I impregnated 8 dinos

You should try to tame this thing in lost island instead of the island, because the island is low-level flagged map, so it will be really hard to find a high level one. Thus trying to find it on lost island is way easier.

- red ice cave loot crate;
- red swamp cave loot crate;
- deep sea loot crate.
