I have no idea how this man got to be a journalist.

It does say it's death. It's really clear.

It's always wonderful to hear a religionist defeat his own argument.

Mehdi Hassan has to be the most dishonest person alive.

Hassan is so good at moving the goalpost... And a liar when he says the penalty for apostasy is not death.

"It's up for debate and discussion" exactly, that was Richard Dawkins point.

The biggest liars are those that try to defend their evil religious texts.

Mehdi Hassan is a rationalist until someone brings up the Quran 😂

The difference is, no one believes that Sam Harris is speaking the inerrant word of God 😂

A journalist who believes complete BS and who misquotes is not a journalist.

"No, some scholars do."

That's literally his point, you are saying the Quran says one thing and those scholars are using THE SAME BOOK to say that it does. You can't bother be right, it's contradictory, and that's the problem Dawkins is pointing out.

Whether the Qur'an says it or not is irrelevant. The fact that the interviewer thinks that punishment for apostasy is death, is a genuine matter for "debate and discussion" is in itself is grotesque ... There is absolutely no justification for murdering people opting out of your superstitions !

When you said “you only choose the bad ones” that means, Mr. Mehdi, that you agree that there are bad verses in your Quran.

If I just keep talking over him I’ll win this debate.

Cognitive dissonance. Arguing with a religious person is a sign of insanity. They're so entrapped and engrossed in absolute nonsense that trying to have rational discussions is obsolete.
