If he could just open source the algorithm for what content is allowed, that would solve the free speech vs need for limits. The biggest issue is that no one outside of these companies really knows what is acceptable and what is not until they get banned.

It’s funny that Musk touts free speech because his skin is so thin, he once blocked the biggest Tesla fan site, Teslaratti, because they threw the biggest softball criticism about FSD .

One important problem Tom- he doesn’t want the influence of a member, he wants the control of an outright owner answering to no one. You nailed it about a degree of censorship being necessary- but if it’s no longer a public company, he alone decides how that looks

The one thing Tom did not mention about Elon preventing certain communication outside his company is if Tom doesn't like it he can still go out in public and tell the public he doesn't like it but it is not censored. Twitter is supposed to be a platform not a publisher. If they want to act like a publisher then they should not be able to reap the benefits of a platform. Tesla does not get the benefits as a public forum like Twitter. It is not an apples-to-apples comparison
