I've read most of the comments so here's mine. In my opinion, this was one of the best comedies on TV ever! I loved ALL the actors/actresses and NEVER once thought about the 'stereotype' thing claimed by the NAACP who forced the show's demise. I watched this show as a kid in the 50s and 60s, and I still enjoy it today! It is a shame that the cast didn't get permanent residuals from this show. It's also a shame that, even though many of them made VERY large salaries ($500-$700 per week) by comparison to an average wage at the time, most evidently didn't manage their money very well. For example, when George "Kingfish" Stevens died, they didn't even have enough money to bury him. That's a real shame. They should've been given advice on money management back then. Either way, as I said, I still watch this show and am working on watching every episode! And by the way, I am white.

Shows that humor doesn't need any cursing or dirty jokes. The actors are very theatrical, very good, hilarious at times.

I love Amos "N" Andy - grew up watching it & it's even more funny today than I remember it being. They were all such great actors and didn't get the credit they deserved. I have the entire collection on DVD & I still watch it continually today !!! Hard to pick a favorite episode because I love each one, however, the one where Kingfish teaches Andy to fly is still one of my favorites.

What great clean humor - no profanity, politics or porn. Clever skits acted superbly.

One of the best African American sitcoms out there. Disagree with me? I don't care. This is right up there with The Jeffersons.

Simply the best comedy program ever created. Only Sanford and Son can compare. Absolutely hilarious. My compliments to the writers and actors!!
