Years ago the local Blockbuster gave my dad their whole Amos and Andy collection after a complaint from a customer. Videos included the commercials from back then. My dad pointed out that nearly 100% of the actors on the show were black. I love the show and still enjoy watching! Thank you!

Public transportation what it is in New York City, along with the traffic and parking situation in NYC, having a car is nearly an extravagant expense.

Wow, the Judge is black in 1952. This isn't really racist, not any different than a black sitcom of the 70s like Sanford and Son or Good Times.

Why would Andy’s traffic violation be in the paper? Even for the police blotter that wouldn’t be considered newsworthy.
