That opening about the reason we practice is really on point. These dudes just give off the best vibe. Adam and Peter are hands down some of the best teachers on the internet but also seem like people that would be genuinely cool to shoot the shit with. Truly grateful for what you do

The best place for practical jazz is Open Studio by a country mile . Thanks again, I get so much from these lessons.

The opening of this video hit me in all the right places. Thank you adam. You're right. I'm not practicing because I want to be the best, I'm not practicing to impress anyone ( Or even a girl for that matter ). I'm practicing because I want that connection and I want to share that connection with others who are chasing it. Much love, bruv!

Adam has such a kind heart, not only towards the students, but also towards himself. Using a human stumble as an opportunity for a teachable moment... I love that!

I can't imagine a better way to practice. Slow and repeat. I was never taught how to practice and it's taken me years to figure it out. Thanks for the reinforcement.
This is teaching the way it should be.

I am in my sixth decade and within this last 18 months I discovered the circle of fifths.
Never heard of it before.
Neither did I know what a pentatonic scale was or how it was the base undercoat of all music throughout history.
Now I am repeating over and over every moment of this tutorial staring at your fingers to see just how you tackle each little phrase.
Good gravy my neck is killing me! 😂

These are the best lessons I've found. Every lesson I've seen on this channel has been amazing. Actual lessons on fundamentals and rudiments rather than 'tutorials' on how to parrot something or other. This stuff is exactly what musicians need, thank you so much.

Very good lesson. I dig that you said " might not sound hip just there's hipness to be had. Ha !

Wow! Adam's chat from 6:33 to about 8:03 was exactly what I needed to hear right now! Bloody motivational to my ears! Thank you so much & I will now go practice my scales, make beautiful music and eat as many vegetables as I can find!

Side slipping idea "Level 5" fits great on the guitar, 8th fret. Great lesson and nice sequencing of ideas to develop and compose penta licks. Kudos Adam

Wow that intro is so right. I kept wondering why we practice if it’s not merely “to be good” or to “present myself solidly to the work of music” which while pragmatic is just that. We practice to open up the way for that inner spark to flow. So gorgeous. Thank you 😊
