I’m glad there’s a way to disable the touch sensor. It kept false-triggering at the car wash, which led to soap bubbles getting in the cargo area.

I was closing my garage and the key was in my pocket.. the garage door triggered the hands free gate and almost messed up my hatch

2023 Subaru Outback. Seems like it only works when the emblem is perfectly clean. If there is any road dirt on it, doesn't work (no beep). Is that normal? Trying NOT to take it back to the dealer...

Question : 2024 outback limited …. When you have cruise control on with distance set up for car in front of you, and the car slows down and you feel it braking, my question is : do my brake lights go on too ?? Thanx

Our kids have a 2020 and the sensor is above the license plate by the plate lights, not on the emblem. After seeing this video we tried it.

Alex, is there a way to disable my PRG so it doesn't open, got a fold up bike rack, don't want either damaged?
I've read the owners manual and searched the owner's forums, no clear instructions found.

I’ve seen other videos warning that this could happen in an automatic car wash if you have this feature turned on but my salesman told me that an automatic car wash wouldn’t trip it because the key fob wouldn’t be close enough to the hatch to activate. I do worry that I will forget the feature is on and it will trip during a car wash. Thoughts?

Sometimes when I do this it just does a long beep and doesn’t open, and the key is in my hand

If you are washing the car and you have e the key fob in your pocket, spraying your car with the hose near the emblem will open the hatch. I leave this feature deactivated. It has opened too many times without me wanting it to.

It will not open. It is locked and cannot unlock the back hatch

I scratched my car with this feature...it hit the garage door overhead. I had the car less than 24 hours. Was set way too high.
