Can you not go to the asus website and download it like a driver update for a video card? Or this is the only way to update with a thumb drive?

Ok after some annoyances and panicking bc Im not PC smart. I think its working. Im waiting for it to finish up rn. Praying it helps my super hot PC bc OMG. I have a liquid cooled PC and I think thats the only reason this thing hasnt blown up.

Hi @GamerTechToronto, I have a Maximus XIII Hero and i need to flash new bios, I use a bios method (same of you), it's need to put the USB pen on Bios Flashback port or also in other ports of back panel (directly to motherboard, not any hub ofc)???

If this is your first time updating BIOS, please make sure you either don't use Bitlocker or have your Bitlocker key backed up 🤙

Why do we have a USB port in the back that's labeled "BIOS" ?
Does this mean we have to plug the USB flash drive into this port only ? Does it matter ?
All I saw is you plugging into the back but which port ?
I've never seen this before ...USB ports labeled for specific purpose ?

So just followed the instructions properly
In bios it said update successful
The screen has turned off and on multiple times
PC auto turned off once
Pc has been on for 30 minutes but the monitor is still off?
Should I turn it on?

Can someone help me. I ran this update as he said I should and it made my fans run stupidly hard and was hitting 75C in heat when it never did that before. Is that its brain trying to reset? Did I do something wrong?
