We are not condemning this iPad, we seriously recommend it to EVERYONE interested in a tablet. We are simply pointing out the top 5 problems with it. If someone really cares about any of these 5 things, it could push them to buy the iPad Pro instead.

I wouldn't call them PROBLEMS. They are compromises in order to bring the price down. I'm happy now there's an affordable iPad with pencil support.

Bad comparison. The new iPad is just fine for the price.

Perspective is important here. Yes, I love my iPad Pro, but I realise for $329, this is a great buy for someone on a budget and who wants a fast tablet with pencil support - it’s a bargain. Why should we go through, comparing it to a tablet twice as expensive and complain about it?

Are you comparing a pro device to budget device?
Seriously?

Real problems:
1. Lots of glare when outside.
2. Poor front camera.

The other "problems" like 0.5 sec longer Touch ID, tiny lag (only perceptible in slow mo), and the chassis sounding hollow when I knock on it (when will I knock on it?) I can live with.

There is a 6th problem. The 2018 iPad costs 400 bucks less

You shouldn't really compare a pro device to entry level iPad

These reviews make no sense. Who expects pro specs inside of budget version iPad. Just like one of the other reviewers stated, look at the price difference. Something you tech bloggers fail to mention. I'm all for the pro and cons of the iPad specs and being informative. However these comparison are pointless when a minimum of 300$ difference to get a pro is obvious.

Top 5 *FIRST WORLD* Problems with Apple's 2018 iPad

People are making the non-laminated screen way more of an issue than it actually is. I grabbed the new iPad and it was an upgrade from the iPad 2 I had, and it is fantastic. If you are looking to upgrade from one of the older devices and aren’t needing something as powerful as the Pro, I highly recommend the 2018 iPad. As a student, it’s going to be a great tool for me. The Apple Pencil is fantastic and writing on it feels great.

i shouldn’t have watched this, because none of these I would have noticed.

I saved 300 dollars to be able to use an apple pencil for what I needed it for (digital art creation) and I love my 2018 ipad.

I have upgraded from a iPad Air 2 to the new ipad 2018 and the spec upgrade more than makes up for a few short comings. The iPad 2018 has killer specs and a budget price. I think Apple have been very smart is offering both iPad 2018 and pro models with equally great specs however keeping its premium features for its pro series. Everyone’s has a iPad that suits their requirements and budgets. I’m blown away by how capable the new iPad 2018 is and I highly recommend it.

I usually always like your reviews but COME ON, DUDE.
You cannot compare a basic entry level tablet to a flagship tablet. It's like comparing clown fish to white shark.
