The devastating impact of Storm Dennis

Parts of Wales were left underwater after being hit by Storm Dennis. Now residents are trying put their lives back together - many of whom did not have flooding insurance.

Need to give rivers room to flood in their flood plains like they do in the Netherlands. Introduction of beavers in suitable watersheds also slows flow and reduces flooding

RIP to the poor dog! As a dog owner I would NEVER leave my dog when evacuating. At least close them in a room upstairs!

There were flood warnings in place for days, there was more than enough time to prepare by moving furniture and important items or pets upstairs.

Too much urbanisation, Britain already has twice the population density of France and as we can see all this impermeable concrete=lots of flooding
