I lived in Florida for many many years, but never in a flood zone area. The only way to aviod this is to move into non flood zone area. It's that simple

Oh really sad to see I am sure no casualties. Here in southern India Kerala, Wayanad disaster landslides due to heavy rain washed away more than 450 plus houses as official said 250 died they got some bodies many washed away for more than 60kms to 95 kms to the waterfall one small Town washed away upper side there were resorts some people ranto find shelter . It was one of the horrific disaster in the past 100 years ever man knew Nature can be wild for anything. We are sure inbetween 800 to 1000 people died . Big buildings gone forever now the place formed into a big river before it was a 3 metre canal. Indian Army made a bridge to do the needful.

I forgot about the hurricane.🌀
Floridians are fortunate, it moved through the Gulf fast. The last 50 miles, gaining it's hurricane strength, from the abnormally warm waters. The storms energy supply. I'm sure the Governor, will see that people are taken care of, financially, and insurance wise. 😉

Once everything dries out see what your local government is going to do before the next event. If what proposed doesn't weight out. Sell your homes.
