DJI Mini 2 How to Calibrate The IMU

In this video, I am going over the steps on how to calibrate the IMU on your DJI Mini 2. This tutorial also shows how to calibrate the IMU for the Mavic Air 2 and the original Mavic Mini as they all follow the same procedure in the DJI Fly App. If you are getting compass or IMU errors it is a good idea to calibrate before you fly your drone. Is also a good idea to calibrate the IMU if you have crashed your drone or your drone is not flying properly.

Great video. This may sound goofy but my recent acquisition of an Air 2S has really made me appreciate what a fantastic drone the Mini 2 is. It is really a beast and I still love flying it. No safety net, as far as obstacle avoidance, you just rely on your flying skills. Just a dependable fun drone.

Since I've got my Mini 2 though I don't seem to be calibrating it's compass as much as I do on my Mavic Mini..

So how often do you need to calibrate the IMU? Should it be done outdoors when GPS satellites are available? Turn on the drone first?
