I’m a single mom with a 20 year old roof with hail damage. The roof should’ve been replaced ten years ago. Thank you for helping my son and I fix the hole in our roof. It will get us by until I can afford to have the roof replaced.

People try to discourage you because they envy you. 20 years ago I was about to go to basic army training. A so called friend would tell me I wasn’t going to make it. He wasn’t even convincing. I went and there were times I didn’t think I was going to make it and I’d remember him saying that and I would push on even harder. I did well, passing every test above average, the drill sgt. made me a squad leader taking on responsibilities I didn’t even want. Neighbors have told me to “just hire someone, etc.” like they do and the people they hire don’t do it right and basically stole money from them. I’ve lightly been in the construction trade and have seen how people cut corners because by the time it becomes an issue they’re long gone and scam people for materials.
