Neil on the sauce at 10am on a Monday...

Slurring away about Manchester United on national radio.

Newcastle fan here but I completely agree the criticism is over the top towards United even though this fan doesn't come across well at all

Talksport would be nothing without chatting about MUFC

That United fan calling the Commuity Shield a Trophy has a small club mentality. As a United man myself, the Community Shield will always be a glorified friendly and quite frankly you're better off losing pre-season friendlies if it leads to more player motivation for the new Premier League season.

Souness and Jordan. Talk about United a lot.

Regarding Lewis's call...We conceded a goal by lack of defensive awareness by a player playing rb who doesn't play there. It is what it is. We now have two rbs on par to start either or. And we didn't play long ball all game what is he talking about. There passage of play we looked improved in. Chill out Lewis. Community is often sloppy, and we seen that from both sides. The problem we need to address first is the 6 if we want to have any improvement on 6th from last season and not be hampered so much with injuries.

When the producers are going through the pre-show talking points of the last few days you know they drop everything to prioritise their ETH agenda for views. Embarrassing and true United fans see it for what it is.

Simon Jordan explaining that his criticism is actually a compliment to expectations, the caller suddenly realised that his standards have dropped.

Simon destroyed him with that comment, you could literally hear all the anger in his voice leave as he realises how right Simon is. Decimated.

As a United fan I actually agree with most of Simon’s thoughts and opinions. Simon is not emotional about his opinions, he uses facts and logic. Wants to see consistent change.

That second caller ain't a united fan.

Just a sick person can think United is the biggest club in the world.
Not even the biggest in England. Liverpool is

ETH will not only last the season - they walk into top 4 win a 3rd cup and he signs a new contract

They keep talking about how his signings have failed. Why do they clump them all together? Antony has been below average but Martinez is arguably one of our best players and it’s pretty obvious that we suffered once he got injured. Hojlund has also done well since joining and Onana improved as the season went on after a bad run in the CL. So they’re basing his “poor” track record of signings on one player??? I can count many players the Pep got wrong as well who were shipped out as fast as they were purchased and they weren’t cheap either

Spot on Simon. Too many snowflakes can not take criticism.

Utd fans thinking there's an agenda against ETH when the club barely want him.
He hasn't improved any players (so they're bringing in a load of coaches to help him) the squad still has deadwood to shift, his man-management skills are out of touch, his situational awareness is non-existent
Iceberg right ahead!

If Man Utd can stay relatively injury free there’s no reason at all they won’t be significantly better than last year. If you watched that game on the weekend and can’t see that an identity and a style of play are finally starting to develop then you can’t be helped.
