How to combine multiple columns into a vertical list in Excel

In this tutorial we will learn how to combine multiple columns into a vertical list in Excel by adding the contents of one cell to another.

For example, if you have data in columns A, B and C, the data can be combined in Excel to column D and formatted into a vertical list. This list can be delimited with any character of your choosing. We will use the concat function, which is short for concatenate, and the char function in Microsoft Excel to help accomplish this.

I don't use half of what Excel can do, but I do use it to help with creating repetitious code and then copying it to Notepad or other program.
I had tried this before I found the video but watched it in case it solved my problem, but it didn't.
The problem is if you use CHAR(10) for the line break Excel adds hidden double quotation marks to the beginning, the end and anywhere quotation marks are used inside the cell, which you don't see in Excel but shows after copying the cells and pasting them in a text editor.
I have no doubt that you know way more about Excel than I do so would you know of any way to prevent this?
