Ryzen 7 5800X3D | RX 6500 XT 4GB - We tested the internet's despised graphics card of 2022, the RX 6500 XT in Warzone 2, Apex Legends, Fortnite Chapter 4, Valorant and PUBG to see if still viable in 2023. The RX 6500 XT was released during the crypto mining craze era, wherein cards were rare and expensive. It was @AMD 's attempt to do something about the current market.

The crazy thing thats been over looked is not long ago Steam users overwhelming used a GTX 1650 which is very important hen reviewing products because to MOST PEOPLE the RX 6500 XT is a 20% upgrade that uses half the POWER because its a laptop gpu. The video encoder can be overcome with an IGPU but lets be honest, most people don't use video creation feature's of a GPU. I really believe all these Reviewers that can't relate with the majority of gamers failed miserably because I never heard any of them look into what GPU was most people using. These tech reviewers have an abundance of gpus lying around but 99.999% don't have all this tech laying around.

Tbh Amd should've gone with $150 msrp from the beginning, at that price point it's the best option available if you don't consider used gpus, at $199 which is the original msrp, there's no reason to get rx 6500xt, not when you can get it's sister, rx6600 which is a far superior card at a bit more cost.

The 6500XT may stutter a bit, but right now my actual integrated graphics can't even run CSGO and stutter playing that video... I call it an improvement.

pcie 4 mobo is a must with this gpu but for 180$ or 160$ is better than a 3050 nvidia gpu that cost 300$

I found Rx 6500xt with 70 dollar new and rx 580 with 150 dollar soo I don't know

i got this card the xfx 4bg 6500 xt right at the end of 2020 when you couldnt find anything since people hated this card so much it was available in 2020 when my gpu died so thank you to all the haters.

oh it still runs games at 1080p in 2024 and thats all i care about.

Performance in some higher demanding old games is really shitty on my gigabyte rx6500
(I'm mainly speaking of Gothic 3 and Trackmania 2)

I just purchased my MSI RX 6600 8GB 64bit! It works well with Z270 ddr 4, 16 GB respectively CPU I5 6600k and a superb monitor Asus Tuf gaming on 165 hz! But bottleneck, generațion cpu 5-6-7 is dead! AMD Ryzen 5 5600X is soluțion!

I used to have a Rx 450 and a insane cpu bottleneck I swapped it out for a Rx 6500 xt and my pc started to perform well

this is the one of the worst product i have ever bought of my entire life

costs 319$ on jan 22 and sold with 180$ on may 22, should have waited before buy that trash gpu. after using approx 5 months drivers was still pain in ass, lots lots of stutters, bsod, glitches, no display and many many issues just like my old Radeon 5450 2gb ddr3. a pure encoderless 2 display port x64 bit trash

amd have really tricked me and like me peoples on that moment.. and thats why i had a 120$ loss.. and amd also will pay for their greed too..

6500XT in 2022 was the only gpu that was not totally overpriced or out of stock, for 4500 CZK (200USD) it pretty nice upgrade (Vega GPU on ryzen 5600G) and it was cheaper than 1650 (more then 200 USD around 220USD in Czech republic), I later upgraded to 3060ti. I will prob build second computer for my mom with this GPU.
