Growing up in Southern Cal we had of fights. We could not carry blades all the time. So for protection we always had a good leather belt with sturdy metal buckle. Worked good against knives and stray dogs. Much options today, gear and training!

I think taking a belt off in a knife fight is a bad idea, Your going to lose. A good knife fighter can close the distances on a well trained gun expert that's 20 feet away and still get to his head! Knife to Knife if not run.

First of all, you know damn well that carrying a knife like that will get you arrested if anyone knows about it and even if you have a permit, you could be asked to leave many liberal leaning businesses and institutions. For most people a folding knife is their only option. Would be nice if concealed carry was seen as everyone's right to have some protection.

Second, carrying a flashlight is always a good idea, not JUST to have a yari stick or alternative Kubotan on an airplane. Most people don't fly that often. I think that might be misunderstood by some viewers.
